RFH homeowner guide
Choosing a Vinyl Siding Style
Consider profile, color, trim and the existing details of your home before choosing vinyl siding.
Look at the whole exterior
Start with elements that are staying: roof color, windows, doors, masonry and neighboring structures. View siding samples outdoors and in different light before committing to a selection.
Compare profiles at the right scale
Horizontal lap, vertical accents and other available profiles change how a wall reads. A sample is helpful, but larger product photos and a discussion of the home’s proportions make the choice easier to visualize.
Give trim a deliberate role
Corner pieces, window surrounds and soffit or fascia colors can make a finish feel coordinated. Include these items in the selection process instead of treating them as an afterthought.
Confirm availability and requirements
The chosen color and profile must be available in a suitable product. Confirm any community guidelines and review project requirements before placing an order. RFH can discuss choices as part of your proposed work.
